Gunn was born 1 month before the murder of John F. Kennedy.
She saw daylight for the first time at Betanien hospital in Oslo and weighed 2.83 kg. Not a big girl, but so beautiful. Although mom was not older than 19 years when she had Gunn, she loved her more than everything in the world. Unfortunately Mom and Willy did not have their own apartment at that time, so Mom lived at home with Gunn in her parents house. Mom worked while her parents took care of Gunn. It went this way until Gunn was 4-5 years old, then Mom became divorced and not long after met Gry’s father and they moved into their own apartment.
Gunn’s big interest was dancing, and she started when she was 12 years old. She trained and trained, and everyone saw that she was talented. First she danced with Johnny Nymoen – and later was a member of a well-known group called “Great Garlic Girls”, and after with Rudi Gunn danced until she was 16 years old and reached the top of Norway’s elite. She was especially good at Latin dancing, and qualified to represent Norway in the European Championships (EM), but the cutoff age to participate was 16 and she was a couple of days too old to be able to participate. Then she lost her interest and unfortunately stopped. It should also be mentioned that Gunn went to her first dance school when she was 6 years old, and danced in her first competition at Hjørdis Undsets dance school.
Gunn was later married to Jon and together they had a great son, Thomas Christian. He lived the first year of his life with mom and she was very happy with him. To this day she still feels very much attached to him
