Larkin coat of arms
Familie Treet

The name Larkin In Ireland is derived from a number of widely distributed native Gaelic O'Lorcain Septs (Clans). The name is taken from a word meaning 'fierce'. The main Septs were based in Counties Galway, Monaghan, Tipperary and Wexford and it is in these Counties that the majority of descendants can still be found.
