Florida - 2006

Dad traveled from Spain and mom traveled from Norway, and they were married in West Palm Beach, Florida on 17 March 2006. Since then they are always Florida Zoo Slideshowtogether, with or without me.

Mom and dad visited the West Palm Beach zoo together with Anuska, and there they got to see many exotic animals. Look at all the pictures from there. Click them for more!
But they didn’t need to go to the zoo to see exotic animals. While in Florida, mom and dad lived in Pattie’s house (dad’s sister), and there were many animals living freely nearby!

Dad fed alligators in the canal behind the house with fish he caught using bread! Pats House Slideshow One of them dad named "AL" the alligator. At night when they sat in the house or backyard resting, raccoons would come up to them and begged for popcorn. They weren’t afraid and came almost all the way up to mom and dad so they could see them. There were also iguanas there, and an eagle which swooped down to the canal to catch fish.
Pat’s yard was not completely back in order after hurricane Katrina destroyed both the garden and the roof of the house. The garage was blown all over the neighbor’s yard and was no longer useable.

Pat’s son Michael was also living in the house and he was nice and helped mom and dad very much with everything concerning the wedding. He picked them up from the airport, drove them all over to look for the ideal wedding location, drove them all over for shopping trips to buy things necessary for the wedding including mom’s dress. He was also mom’s chauffeur on the day of the wedding. Talk about being nice!

But other than that and some other shopping trips, mom and dad didn’t get to travel around very much. First dad got sick , and then mom. They both caught the flu. Michael had it when mom and dad arrived, and they caught it from him. Pat got it last, and the only one not to get the flu was Anuska.

It was probably OK, for then they got to look around the neighborhood before they had to get ready to travel back to Norway.
