2019 + More

	Nov 2019	This news entry is a composite of events from 2019 about our Grandson Kayden. In May of 2019 when we came back from Australia, Anuska and Nilo told us they were expecting, and on the 19th we held a reveal party where the guests were split on their wish or guess as to the sex of the baby TUTU ( 8 female) or FOOTBALL ( 12 male). The actual reveal was very very exciting as you will see in the video ! On 25 Aug Anuska and Nilo had a baby shower party which mom and dad helped put together, and it was a huge success. Then, just missing Hallowwen, Kayden was born, and came home with his proud parents on 4 Nov. We hope you enjoy the slideshow below. (Click for Slideshow)
	Feb 12 2023	This is some more belated news items. We have had many years of interesting news reporting from Chanty, Tio Pepe and Bordeaux, but sadly that is no more. Chanty passed away 20 May2018, Tio passed on 9 August 2020, and finally Birdeaux passed on 27 June 2022. Here are pictures of their last days with us, may they Rest In Peace forever together in doggy heaven. CHANTY TIO PEPE BORDEAUX Shortly after Tio passed we looked for a playmate for Bordeaux, and on 28 Aug 2020 we adopted Mellie from Big Dog Ranch. At first she was almost the same size as Bordeaux but soon grew to more than double his size. Mellie meets Bordeaux On 19 June 2021 we brought home a sphynx (hairless) cat we call Toby. He is cute, adorable and very playful, never a dull moment. They all got along very well together, in fact Mellie acts like Toby is her son! Toby meets Bordeaux and Mellie After Bordeaux passed, Mellie was ok with Toby, but we saw she needed another dog for company. On 22 Aug 2022 we found Lyndsey and fostered her fron Big Dog Ranch. And now on 12 February 2023 she is officially part of our family and we shortened her name after adoption to Lizzie. She looks up to Mellie as her big sister and even plays with Toby too. Lizzie is adopted. So now Mellie, Toby and Lizzie are our new editors.
	Dec 2018	Sorry for this late entry. Our Norwegian friends Mette and her daughter Hilde came for a short visit in December of 2018. We took them to see the big sand xmas tree in West Palm Beach, and a few days later down to Key West for 2 days (Click for Slideshow)
	Sept 2019	Kari and Ray went for a trip to Norway to visit Thomas, Jeanette, Linnea, Tom Rune, Paulina and the twins, and Ida and also some of Kari's relatives and friends. The 1st picture is when we were waiting for the airline checkin in Florida! (Norway trip 2019)
	Apr 26 to May 06 2019	We took a second road trip along with our dear Norwegian friend Ida from our home in Florida to Toronto, Canada and return for a total of 3656 miles. We made many stops along the way, and took lots and lots of pictures and videos along the way. Here are the results: (Click Here for larger Pic) Day 1 and 2... We traveled from Florida thru Alabama to Mississippi. Stopped for best pizza in Fla (according to Anuska and Nilo) at SATCHELs, spent the night in Fla. then visited the Ave Maria Grotto in Ala. and later on to Topelo, Miss. For a great meal and retired for the night. (Click Here for Slideshow) Day 3... We got up early to visit Elvis Presleys birthplace. Then drove to Memphis, Tenn. to visit Graceland and his final resting place. Drove from there to a great Mexican restaurant in Kentucky for dinner and some strawberry daiquiris then bed. (Click Here for Slideshow) Day 4 and 5... The 1st of these 2 days we spent driving from Kentucky, thru Ohio to Pennsylvania where we spent the night in a motel near the city of Erie. The next day we drove thru New York and over the Rainbow bridge to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls where we spent the night. (Click Here for SlideShow Pt-2) Day 6...We spent most of the day exploring Niagara, then back into New York for a short visit with our niece Carmen. After leaving N.Y. we decided to change our plans (got homesick ! ) and start heading for Florida instead of heading towards New Orleans. We headed southeast and spent the night in Danville, Pennsylvania. (Click Here for Slideshow) Day 7...After leaving Danville Pa., we drove to Maryland where we stopped at the Shamrock Restaurant for lunch. It was a very quaint Irish setting with great food. From there we drove to Williamsburg Virginia, had some of the best barbeque ribs and cold beer, then stayed the night. (Click Here for Slideshow) Day 8...From Williamsburg we went to visit the early settlement of Jamestown, Va. Then we took a ferry ride and drove to North Carolina where we picked up a hitchhiker ( a cricket ! ) then on to South Carolina where stayed overnight. (Click Here for Slideshow) Day 9...Spent most of the day exploring an old plantation and also the original slave quarters on the property. When we left there we drove into Chalreston, S.C. and had dinner at the fleet landing restaurant before retiring for the night. (Click Here for Slideshow) Day 10... In the morning we had a snack at a Carolina Cherry and Cider company roadside stop and later said goodbye to South Carolina. Next stop would be Savannah, Georgia for lunch and a look at the riverboats. But 1st we had to make a stop to meet with Forrest Gump !. We spent the night somewhere outside Savannah. (Click Here for Slideshow) Day 11... left Georgia in the morning to drive to Florida. Stopped off in Jacksonville to visit some friends we knew from Spain then had a nice lunch in a treehouse restaurant. Then next stop was to clear our windshield of lovebug shit ! All the cars had to do the same, it was terrible. Finally at about 5:30 pm we arrived home in North Palm Beach. TRIP OVER ! (Click Here for Slideshow)
	March 2019	In March of 2019 Kari, Ida and Ray took a trip to visit Kari's daughter Gry and her husband Zed in Melbourne Australia. They left on 4 March and returned on 26 March. It took 3 flights going (West Palm Beach to Montreal to Vancouver to Australia); then 3 flights and a long drive back home (Melbourne, Aus. to Vancouver to Toronto to Miami plus a rental drive to home). They took over 2000 photos but only 82 shown here. They visited many tourist attractions close to Melbourne and also Sydney. We hope you enjoy the pics, and videos. (Australia trip 2019)
